IRIS will aid in facilitating researcher matches in an effort to foster collaboration and cross-disciplinary research. Many Unite! partners have their own IT tools for identifying and mapping the competencies of researchers. By giving information on the needs to the IT individuals in charge of the activity, IRIS can promote the development of an interface between the many tools that are already in use.
